WordPress 6.2 Beta 2 is now available for download and testing.

What has changed in Beta 2?
This version includes over 292 upgrades and 354 bug fixes for the editor, as well as over 238 tickets for the WordPress 6.2 core. As the 6.2 release cycle progresses, expect more additional fixes.

This part of the release resolves around 71 bugs identified since last week’s Beta 1—thanks to all of you patient Beta testers out there. (Thank you, and keep up the good job!)

From more readily integrating video from Openverse to an enhanced version of the Navigation block, the 6.2 release cycle is packed with innovations that the release team is eager for you to try. Styles are also receiving a lot of attention, with a new Style Book, CSS support for your site or blocks, and more.

You can test WordPress 6.2 Beta 2 in three ways:

Option 1: Install and activate the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (select the “Bleeding edge” channel and “Beta/RC Only” stream).

Option 2: Direct download the Beta 2 version (zip).

Option 3: Use the following WP-CLI command:

wp core update --version=6.2-beta2
